Sloane Stanley eagerly anticipates the great RHS Chelsea Flower Show every year, but this year promises an even more fantastic and unforgettable event, which will be held from the 24th to the 28th of May 2022.
Behind the organisation of the event, the Royal Horticultural Society has a passion for gardening and plant growth, bringing the flower show to life with inspirational displays and demonstrations around how gardening is good for us and the environment.
The RHS does more than put on a good show. The organisation is proud to be the UK’s leading gardening charity. They aim to enrich lives with plants and make the UK a greener and more beautiful home. With the help of inspirational gardens and many events throughout the year, paired with scientific research and educational programmes, the community continues to grow and inspire.
Every RHS Chelsea event is spectacular, but this year is extra special following plans to celebrate the historic anniversary of Her Majesty leading up to the Platinum Jubilee. From showcasing the famous crowns in the floral form to an unmissable immersive tribute, these floral praises represent an iconic monarch in style.
Her Majesty has been the Society’s Royal Patron since 1952, regularly visiting the show with her parents when she was younger and has attended the show more than 50 times during her impressive 70-year reign.
Making their Chelsea debuts this year are Moore & Moore Plants, Alchemy Plants, Baugaarden Living Art, Home Farm Plants and Kitchen Garden Plant Centre. There are plenty of fabulous blooms to see from the Blue Garden to a showcase of the circle of life. You can see all of the gardens at this year’s event here.
Don’t miss out on The Discovery Zone located in the Great Pavilion, home to educational exhibits promoting the most recent discoveries in horticultural science.
