Chelsea Art Society Exhibition

Sloane Stanley backs a £1,000 award and presentation of the William Sloane Medal as part of annual sponsorship of the Chelsea Art Society Exhibition, held at 340 King’s Road on the estate. The awarded 2021 winner, alongside all involved artists, reported selling more work throughout the exhibition than ever before despite the limitation to visitor numbers.

Kensington & Chelsea Art Week

We are proud to actively support the artistic heritage of the surrounding borough, through annual sponsorship of Kensington & Chelsea Art Week (KCAW). KCAW celebrates the best and brightest creative names, from South Kensington’s Museum Quarter to the bustle of King’s Road; from the urban bohemia of Notting Hill to the modern elegance of the Design Museum. The yearly event opens doors to local creative spaces and leading organisation in the area, facilitating public engagement in the vibrant artistic culture.

Chelsea’s St Mary Abbots Rehabilitation and Training Projects (SMART)

Sloane Stanley recently donated £3,000 worth of toys to Chelsea’s St Mary Abbots Rehabilitation and Training Projects (SMART), as part of the charity’s 2020 mission to deliver a Christmas present to every vulnerable family and child in the local vicinity. The gifts were purchased directly from Nibbling, a Pop Up retailer on Sloane Stanley’s King’s Road estate, and were individually wrapped by volunteering residential tenants in a strong collaborative effort from the community.

Christmas Fair at Chelsea Physic Garden

Sloane Stanley sponsored the Christmas Fair at Chelsea Physic Garden, to support one of London’s oldest botanical site just a stone’s throw from the estate. In lieu of the event in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, £2,000 was instead donated towards the restoration of the garden’s important glasshouses.

Chelsea Fire Station’s 2020 Christmas Advent Calendar

Sloane Stanley retail vouchers, discounts, and offers were made available to the public through Chelsea Fire Station’s 2020 Christmas Advent Calendar, as incorporated into the site’s vibrant, large-scale Winter Mural. The mural, which was supported and promoted by Pantone Color Institute, was acknowledged with a Gold Award in ‘Colourful Street’ category of the 2020 London Design Awards.

The Magic of Christmas at Chelsea Theatre

Sloane Stanley sustained the magic of Christmas amid strict Covid-19 restrictions in 2020 with a safely adapted version of Santa’s Grotto at the Chelsea Theatre. Children in the area, including those from more vulnerable parts of the community, were treated with gifts from Santa which were delivered by a long pizza over paddle through one of the theatre windows.

Investment is local public realm and enlivenment

An ongoing focus for Sloane Stanley’s investment is local public realm and enlivenment to enhance the atmosphere of Chelsea. This is undertaken year round, and includes seasonal activations such as the iconic and eye-catching Christmas trees along the King’s Road.
