Founded by Laurent d’Orey, Orée is famous for its artisan recipes, including 12 different varieties of bread such as Rye, Sourdough, Buckwheat, Nordic and Japanese, as well as a seasonal ‘bread of the month’.
Orée offers freshly baked viennoiserie, artisan bread and fine patisserie, alongside a selection of breakfast dishes, salads, coffees and a wide variety of teas, to eat-in, or takeaway. As well as the brand’s full range of bread and pastries, the French style kitchen also caters for those looking for healthier alternatives with a unique range of gluten-free bread. All bread is freshly baked on-site with a working bakery being part of the ground floor design that customers can see in action.
The new bakery café includes a 38-cover internal seating area. Designed by a specialist agency, Shed, Orée’s interiors are largely reflective of the tradition that France is renowned for, with white marble-top tables and surfaces, pale blue and gold branding hand-painted by Lucien Helle, France’s last practising traditional ornamental glass artist. Meanwhile, exposed white-washed brickwork and large glass display counters give Orée a light and airy feel.
Laurent d’Orey, the founder of Orée Boulangeries explained: ‘The Sloane Stanley Estate is a well-managed Estate that is complemented by an impressive variety of international and lifestyle brands. Combined with the availability of a perfect unit, it was the obvious choice for the start of our expansion.’
